Royals Badminton Highlights

The badminton season has come and gone with some impressive results.

For the JV team, Mitchell Dear, Rachel Riley and Kailey Evans all qualified for the playoff round in singles play in which Kailey made it to the KPAC finals on the A side where she lost in 2 very close, highly competitive matches. Way to go Kailey!

In Varsity play, Ben Epp, Dexter Racicot qualified to playoffs for singles play as did the teams of Holly Sutherland/Brandy Fekete & Jason Stoneham/Elissa Armistead. Dexter advanced the furthest with making it to the KPAC final with having to go through the B side but he won in 2 straight matches to become KPAC champion!

Winning the singles title also qualified Dexter for provincials in Carman where the competition was fantastic. Dexter played extremely well and finished in 4th place. Great job Dexter!
