Varsity Boys Home Tournament Begins With a Bang!
Usually it is a good thing when a tournament starts with a bang but the tournament almost didn't happen when there was a bang at lunch hour that turned out to be the wire that raises the basketball net snapping only to leaving it dangling 7 ft above the gym floor!
Thanks to the hard work of our custodial staff, administration and the fast response by Royal Stewart Ltd. the court was cleaned up and ready for play by Friday morning.
Games started at 4:00 and your Varsity Boys team did not disappoint with 3 straight wins tonight against Kelvin, Dryden and Daniel Mac!
Their final round robin game is Saturday morning at East Selkirk Middle School at 9:45 AM against Niverville. If they win that they will be in the quarter-finals at 2:00 back at the Comp.
All playoff games are at the Comp on Saturday with both semi-finals being played at 4:00 and the championship finals are full court starting at 5:00.
Come cheer on your Royals!!
