Royals Varsity Girls Basketball strong in league play

The Royals Varsity Girls Basketball team is going strong in league play with 7 wins and only one loss, by 10 points to top ranked River East. The Royals had a big win over Murdoch Mackay on Tuesday night at home, 72-42, with every uninjured player contributing to the scoring. Wednesday night the girls are playing at Springfield Collegiate in Oakbank in the second last regular season league game. They follow that up with the St. Mary's Academy tournament where they will play #2 seed Sisler in the Thurday 4 pm opener, and a tourney in Brandon next week.

The Varsity girls' tough tournament schedule has kept them sharp in league play and has kept them in the hunt for a KPAC championship, and hopefully down the road, a trip to the provincials in March :).
